Auger makes its debut in Twisted Metal III, and serves as a replacement for Mr. Slam.

Design[]

It resembles a Grove RT-58 B Crane with a drill placed on its front.

Description (Prima's Official Strategy Guide)[]

Climb into the cab of this machine and feel the power. If any machine was ever built to twist metal, this is it. Auger drills through the competition with ease. With you at the controls, sit and spin takes on a whole new meaning. Auger moves like a snail and turns like you're rolling through a swamp, but it's a moving fortress.

Special Weapon[]

  • Giant Drill:[1] Auger has a giant drill mounted on the front that ever-so-gently impales his victims then tosses them into the air like pancakes.

Trivia[]

  • Auger is believed to have replaced Mr. Slam, as they are both construction vehicles.
  • Auger is the only TMIII original vehicle to reappear in a later game, Twisted Metal 4.
    • Interestingly enough, both Twisted Metal III and Twisted Metal 4 were published by 989 Studios.
