- Axel is not stuck to his wheels in the TV series unlike in most of the games, instead having metallic arms very similar to the ones from his iteration from Twisted Metal: Head-On.
- WWE Superstars Omos, Cedric Alexander, and Apollo Crews reportedly auditioned for the role of Axel, but none of them were cast.[1]
