Chester seems to be overall friendly on the outside, but he's merely afraid for his life. It's unknown how he acts normally.

Chester is forced by Raven to be friends with John, and although he tells her he would be friends with him anyway, he seems more preocupied with whatever danger may befall him if he disobeys her.

He, like every other citizen from New San Francisco, seems wary of her.

Season 1[]

Chester's past is unknown. Currently he's a citizen of New San Francisco, and at some point became a gate guard. After John Doe succeeds on his mission to retrieve a package from New Chicago, Chester and the other citizens are tasked by Raven to befriend John in order to make him feel at home and indebted to her, so he would be willing to help her later when the Tournament starts. Chester sets John up on a date with Diane, who guards the gate together with him, but it doesn't matter at the end as John decides he wants to leave the city, prompting Raven to take drastic measures.
