Dark Tooth is a unlockable vehicle from Twisted Metal: Head-On. It appears as the first phase of the final battle, before fighting Tower Tooth. It is is driven by Marcus and Needles Kane.

Design[]

It is a massive six-wheeled black ice cream truck with dark purple polka dots. It has a set of large opening and closing mechanical jaws on the front of the truck, which are used in Dark Tooth's special. Its machine guns also shoot the same Napalm Cone projectiles that Sweet Tooth's special attack uses.

Bio[]

Terrible things can happen when a man comes to grips with his dark side. Marcus has spent his life running from his nightmares. Needles has devoted his life to making his nightmares come true. When Marcus surrenders to Needles the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, Marcus' rational mind and Needles' fevered insanity descend into a vortex of sinister chaos. The only possible outcome is the total annihilation of anything that stands in their path.

Stat Value
Armor 150

Special Damage (Normal) Damage (Upgraded) Description

How to Unlock[]

Dark Tooth can be unlocked by beating Story Mode once with any character on any difficulty, but is not playable online. When a player selects Dark Tooth as an opponent, it will still be the same size as when they're playing it, so the only way to fight the larger Dark Tooth is in Story Mode.

Ending[]

Marcus Kane was running away from something in a field, until he comes across Tower Tooth. He also discovered that Needles Kane was with him. After a brief talk if it was a dream or not, and whom Needles was and what was the vehicle they saw. Needles decides:

"Too many questions. I think the best thing is to climb inside and look around...."

We later see Marcus and Needles climb into Tower Tooth and start up the vehicle.

Trivia[]

  • An early concept design of Dark Tooth showed that the vehicle was also considered to be depicted as a half-tracked vehicle. The half-track concept also had a hatch on the side, which, when opened, would unleash homing ice cream carts that pursue opponents. Another early concept design for Dark Tooth had six wheels, just like in the final design, which was originally to use continuous tracks but was given six wheels instead.
