Brimstone is a car appearing in Twisted Metal: Black and Twisted Metal: Lost. The vehicle has yet to reappear in another game.

Twisted Metal: Black[]

"This rusty, travel-worn vehicle serves as Preacher's traveling church and also his place for penance. Chained and shackled in the back is a poor soul who refuses to answer for his sins. Brimstone is also fashioned with crudely-constructed crucifixes and stained glass windows, similar to church windows. There is also a massive stake chained to the hood, that is where the sinner strapped with bombs is launched and does not deal extra ram damage."
—Twisted Metal: Black - Instruction Manual

Brimstone is a new vehicle introduced in Twisted Metal: Black.

Special Weapon

  • Sinner: Beware Brimstone's Special Attack - Preacher has convinced his followers that death is the only option for those who refuse to believe. A maniacal follower fully strapped with dynamite is hurled towards opponents to grab onto the vehicle's roof. Once he makes contact, he'll sacrifice himself in the hopes that the opponent's sins will be redeemed.

Twisted Metal: Lost[]

Brimstone returns from Twisted Metal: Black.

Special Weapon

  • Sinner: Same special from Twisted Metal: Black ONLINE.

Trivia[]

  • Brimstone was scheduled to be in Twisted Metal: Harbor City, being simply called "The Preacher", at least during development. It likely was going to be kept the same vehicle as in Twisted Metal: Black.
  • Due to a bug, sinners can potentially not deal any damage when they explode on a car, this usually seems to happen when a car drastically changes altitude quickly, i.e. going up a sharp ramp quickly.[1]
  • In Twisted Metal: Lost, the follower on the hood of Brimstone will be impaled by the stake before being used for the first time, but will appear to be sitting on the stake for each subsequent use. The reasons for this are unknown, though a possible explanation might be the developers (or Sony) wanting Head-On’s PS2 port to retain the same Teen rating as the original PSP version.
  • Even though the Preacher reappears in Twisted Metal (2012), Brimstone doesn't return.
