"I thought my dad was dead, but I was wrong. When they told me his name, I hit the floor. Could he be really my dad? When I win this contest, we're gonna have a family reunion he'll never forget for the rest of his life (which ain't gonna be too long)."

Krista was born after Calypso married with a woman named Joanie in a Drive-Thru Wedding from Las Vegas, who shortly died after a tire went flying towards her. At a certain night, Krista had been driving for him for hours, until he finally let her sleep when they reached the roadhouse. She slept in the backseat, and Calypso suddently had a vision of his dead wife. Her voice later came out of the radio, and told him to drive without touching the wheel and to close his eyes. Krista woke up just before she and Calypso hit a brick wall. He died and went straight to Hell, but Krista's fate wasn't shown (in her ending, it's revealed her body was rebuilt by the L.A.P.D.). Calypso mentions that when this incident happened, Krista was around the same age as his little sister when she died.

Manual

Krista Sparks is an underage driver who faked her age to join the tournament. She will stop at nothing to find her father whom she believed dead for the last ten years. When they meet face to face, sparks will fly.

Trivia

• In Twisted Metal (2012), Krista Sparks is not the daughter of Calypso, but instead a supermodel who suffers from narcissistic traits, which also attributes to her dangerous, aggressive, and unforgiving personality. She has no connections to the original Krista Sparks besides the name.
