Los Angeles is the second level in Twisted Metal: Head-On. It is a large arena, and the player has to defeat 4 enemies to advance. Upon completing the level, the player is prompted to choose between the Paris or Egypt arenas.
Description[]
- "Welcome to Smog Central. Don't let the busy freeways trigger your road rage - your opponents will do that for you."
- —Twisted Metal: Head-On - Instruction Manual (PSP)
This arena takes place in the city of Los Angeles, and bears a slight resemblance to the one from Twisted Metal 2, although different enough. It has areas with buildings on both sides of the map, surrounded by roads and sewer channels. In one of the buildings, there's a teleporter that takes you to the "L A WOOD" sign.
Environmental Attack[]
- Powerplant Lightning:[1] The environmental weapon pickup is located on a bumpy road next to a bridge. Upon activating it, a nearby generator will start electrifying anyone that's near it.
Mini-Game[]
Freeway Slalom[]

- If you head into the construction site and run over a worker, a wilhelm scream will play.
- Los Angeles's file name is "FREEWAY". This was the same for Twisted Metal 2's version.
