Quiet is Loud's sister. They have been together for most of their lives, and even though Quiet finds him really obnoxious, she has nothing but love for him.

Background[]
After the walls went up, Loud and his sister Quiet lived in Orange County, working as field hands at an orange farm. One day, Quiet presents him with a 4-year contract as servants promising beachfront property after their contract ended. 3 years into the contract, he finally sees his sister again while working fast-food. Seeing her downtrodden and mutilated, he takes her into the storeroom to catch up and try to raise her spirit. However, his boss catches them and confronts him about it. Loud spits in his face, leading his boss to send him to be taken away after slicing his ear off. Quiet rescues him from death, handing him his jacket as they drive away in the hearse stolen from the deceased Reapers.
Season 1[]
Some time into their lives as bandits, Quiet and Loud try to rob John Doe, but fail and escape with their lives. They later flee from Agent Stone and his officers, but eventually their hearse is flipped and they are captured. Stone offers the siblings a choice - one of them commits suicide or they are both burnt alive. Loud then takes the gun and kills himself to protect his sister.
When Quiet arrives in Topeka to avenge her brother, Loud manifests as an apparition that only communicates inside the patrol vehicle with Quiet attempting to talk her out of throwing her life away for his sake. When his commentary becomes too much for Quiet, she tells him to shut up and disappears for the rest of the series.

- Like his sister Quiet, Loud is a character notable for having no counterpart in the video games.
- Also like Quiet, Loud's real name is never mentioned. In addition, no one in the show ever refers to him with the name "Loud" either.
- According to showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith, Loud's jacket was originally more like that of a matador's or a mariachi's, but it was rejected by the Peacock executives.[1]
