Trivia
General
- Minion's Driver was not revealed until his playable appearance in Twisted Metal 2. No information on him was available in the first game.
- Although it is known that Minion won the tournament the year before the events of the original game, it is unknown what he could have wished for, or why he didn't wish for his revenge on Calypso like he did in TM2 (though his ending there is non-canonical).
Twisted Metal (1995)
- Minion did not originally exist in th first game, with the drivers of the Mind Tank (the early development name for Minion's tank) being the Apocalypse 9, who were cut from the game.
Twisted Metal 2
- Minion's first playable appearance in the series, though he must be unlocked through use of a special code at the character select screen. He also makes an appearance in the Twisted Metal 2 comic.
Twisted Metal III
- Like Twisted Metal 2, Minion must be unlocked via special code to play as him.
- This game has the last official appearance of Minion, the driver.
- The character art for Minion's driver in the December 1998 issue of the EGM Playstation Magazine was not of the usual demon, but of a human resembling Calypso instead. It is possible that Calypso was originally to be the driver of Minion in this game at some earlier point in development, however that is unconfirmed.[1]
Twisted Metal 4
- There could have been a possibility of Minion having an info screen, as his TMIII info screen can be found in the game's files under the name "MINION.TIM[0]."
Twisted Metal: Small Brawl
- According to Twisted Metal: Small Brawl's art director, Dave Goodrich, Minion was originally planned to appear as the final boss, but this was scrapped very early on in the game's development due to it being intended for younger audiences. He was replaced by Piecemeal as the end boss instead. Minion was cut so early on in the game's development that no real plans were made for him, other than a quick sketch of the driver, who was supposed to be a child wearing a devil suit. His R/C car was never designed.
