Jimmy Ash is a character from Twisted Metal: Small Brawl. He is a younger version of Mr. Ash and controls Darkside. His motivation for joining the tournament is unknown.
Appearance[]
As Darkside is an unlockable vehicle, Jimmy Ash has no character model or art in-game.
Years later, it was revealed by the game's lead designer that he was planned to reuse a scrapped concept from Spectre, being a short pale boy in leather clothes.[1]
Bio[]

A dark, mysterious boy named Jimmy Ash controls this formidable R/C vehicle. His motivations remain unknown.
Trivia[]
- Due to time constraints, Jimmy Ash did not receive an ending in the game and became a secret unlockable character. The planned ending, which was revealed in a video released by the lead designer David Goodrich in 2024, was to have Jimmy wish to Calypso to be the biggest bully in school. He grants it by switching bodies with him, which causes Jimmy (in Calypso's body) to be beat up by all the other kids as he's so hated. He would later end up in a hospital bed all patched up, with only his red eyes being visible, a reference to his TM1 bio image.[1]
- While Jimmy Ash did not have a character artwork in-game due to his secret character status, he was planned to use Spectre's old concept art. His bio description would've been: "This pint-sized tough guy wants to be feared by the neighborhood kids, but his small stature gets him bullied just like the others. Jimmy Ash enters Calypso's tournament so he can get the respect he desires!"[1]
