Preacher is a secondary antagonist from the Twisted Metal television series. He is the leader of the Holy Men, a faction of savage lunatics that terrorize the roads of the Divided States of America.
Appearance[]
Preacher is a man appearing to be in his 40s, sporting long black hair and a thick beard, both with random degrees of graying. His neck has various tally marks tattoos. He wears a long black robe typically worn by common clergymen and a black wide-brimmed hat usually found on Old Western preachers. He is also often seen with black sunglasses.
Personality[]
He is a charismatic leader and a crazed psychopath. He has no problem murdering, nor doing any other heinous things such as eating people, as he suggests multiple times in his fight with John. Most of the time, he's high on cocaine, which makes him even crazier.
Relationships[]
The Holy Men[]
Preacher is almost like a hero to the Holy Men, and they all seem willing to follow him as they would a religious leader. He sometimes reprimends, insults, or make fun of some of them for their mistakes, often the Holy Man named Krevin, but he also demands that gifts be given to those who deserve it. The Goddess named Janice seems to be the one that is closest to him.
John Doe[]
They are very antagonistic towards each other, specially since Preacher wanted to copulate with John's car, which was gifted to Preacher by one of his men. Preacher considers John to be envious of him, and John proposes a clash to him. He loses, and John is locked up, only to later on try to get to his car again, to Preacher's admiration.

Background[]
Preacher was originally a pious religious leader, but the events of the apocalypse led him to lose the faith and become leader of hedonistic ravagers known as "The Holy Men".
Season 1[]
On 2022, Preacher takes part of the Holy Men annual Rocky Mountain Fuck Fest pilgrimage to Colorado. During one night, Preacher arrived at a Holy Men camp demanding tribute. While he was presented with weapons, drugs and resources, he quickly grew bemused at once again receiving such items. However, his spirit was lifted when one of his followers presented him with Evelyn. When he declared his intent to fornicate with the car, John Doe, in disguise as a Holy Man, challenged him for it. Preacher proved to be a very formidable fighter and bested John, ordering him to be detained and later crucified. When John breaks free and tries to get Evelyn, Preacher catches him at gunpoint. As John parries his weapon, a stray round hits his car's gas tank before they fight. Before Preacher could finish John off, the fuel leak caught fire, destroying Evelyn and incapacitating the both of them. His followers rescued him and fled the camp.
When Calypso was forming the brackets for the first Twisted Metal Tournament, Preacher was the first among his choices. The person chosen as his opponent appears to be Axel, as his photo is placed below Preacher's in the same bracket.
Trivia[]
- During his first fight with John Doe, he boasted murdering a church of people while possessed by a demon baby. This was the backstory of his namesake in Black.
- Jason Mantzoukas wasn't able to reprise his role as Preacher in Season 2 due to scheduling issues.[1]
