"You're gonna help me win, John, and you're gonna do it by getting behind the wheel and turning every car and contestant that crosses your path into nothing but a flaming pile of twisted metal. You will drive, John Doe, and you will win."
—Raven, Twisted Metal (TV Series)

Raven is a primary antagonist from the Twisted Metal television series. She is one of women employed to act as the real "Raven".

History[]

Raven is old enough to remember when the walls went up during the Apocalypse.

By 2022, she had become leader of New San Francisco. Hearing of an amnesiac milkman who had lasted longer than many others, she invited John Doe as a guest into the community to discuss his next delivery. She created a facade of a loving family woman - hiring someone to play her husband and borrowing a baby - and offered citizenship to Doe in exchange for a package in New Chicago to be received in ten days.

She makes good on her deal when he arrives with seconds to spare, but refuses Quiet entry. When Doe is taken in to have his gunshot treated, Quiet gets offered a new job as a milkman, which she rejects by throwing the supplies to the outlying citizens. Once inside New San Fransisco, she opens the package Doe fought so hard to obtain - a pint of ice cream. As she eats it, she laments that Calypso had sent the wrong flavor.

A month passes, and Raven manipulates the townsfolk into befriending (and in one case, dating) Doe to continue to win his favor. However, Doe requests to leave the city to find Quiet again. Raven then makes one last attempt to get him to stay - revealing John Doe's past with his childhood home and a collection of photos. Doe is still adamant on leaving, leading her to drop the facade and make clear her true purpose for admitting him in the city: as her champion in the upcoming Twisted Metal Tournament.

Trivia[]

  • The bar where Raven talks to John Doe on Episode 1 is called "Kelly's", a reference to Raven's friend in Twisted Metal: Black, Kelly.
    • She also has a pentagram necklace and keeps a voodoo doll as allusions to the Wiccan heritage and tournament reward of her Black counterpart.
